Tryouts are open to all U9 players for the 2019-2020 soccer year. Players MUST turn 8 before December 31, 2019. You only need attend one tryout day for your age group, but it is highly recommended you attend both. Players may not attend try out in previous year uniforms.
North Whidbey Soccer Club Play Up Policy
Players must register for all programs based on their birth date. They may, however, at the parents' request be placed in a higher age group. When registering for tryouts, you will be asked if you would like your child to play up. If you do, give an explanation as to why in the box. If not, type "no".
The NWSC Board of Directors will review all requests.
Playing up is a parent request, and a Board decision. Our emphasis will be on creating full teams in each age group in order to maximize the soccer opportunities for all registrants. Decisions are informed by player age, skill, & team capacity. Requests are considered in order of birth date within each age group – the oldest requesting players are considered first.
Play-up requests granted for one year do not carry over into future years. Each year is considered separately.
